Latest in Recording, Mixing and Mastering

This past month we’ve been busy with a couple of projects in hand, Starting with Louis Gallant’s debut album 1, 2, 6, Gu.s.ay Go! Aside by our respected client, Drake international, recording voiceover for company’s interactive systems. We’ve also been recording Audio on set for World Vision video series with Dr. Tony Campolo. At Encounter Studios we enjoy what we do, whether its music or just a voice recording, we do it at our best and make sure clients and companies that use our services are satisfied with our high quality production work.

Editing and Mixing

Our most time spent editing and mixing was on Louis Gallant’s 1, 2, 6, Gu.s.ay Go! As soon as the recording process was done, we started working on the editing and mixing of the album. It was interesting to work on this project as Louis had a particular sound he wanted in his mix, and always referred to his music as ‘Best for headphones’ where he wanted to create an environment where the listeners can feel that they are sitting in the same room with Louis playing for them. You can notice that from the dry vocals (very little reverb) and the guitar stereo image. In all, it was a great project to work on, with a talented musician. Louis Gallant’s Album will be available soon on itunes and other online distributers and companies, and is expected to be released in the next few weeks.

Apart from mastering 1, 2, 6, Gu.s.ay Go!, We’ve also mastered an album for an arabic band Called The New Song Team. Great album recorded, arranged and mixed by David Younan.
